Well, after some serious contortionistic indignities, I have managed to replace the faulty head gasket on my Disco 2 Td5. Head off, head back, leaking diesel! I had 'serviced' the FPR and fitted the wrong gasket, doh!
Anyway, after a considerable struggle to get the FPR back off while in situ, I rebuilt it with a replacement regulator.
So, all back together, new oil, fresh coolant, and after purging, started and ticking over nicely.
